Agent 88

Legend has it Lady Peng developed Agent 88 when she eased the suffering of a Yakuza kingpin. The Oyabun was itchy and irritated from skin lesions as a result of rushing his straight shaving, so he hid from his apprentices in an abandoned distillery.

“Weakness is death,” he whispered to Lady Peng.

“Yeah, but it looks so good on you.” Lady Peng smiled as she mixed her elixirs.

After 87 iterations of acids and botanicals massaged upon his raw neck and face, the 88th formulation would be the magic to calm his skin, uproot his lesions and lead to the wonder it has become today.

Or, perhaps this phenomenon was named in honor of her 88th and favored  lover. The truth? We’ll never know. (Well, we do know. We mean; You’ll never know.)
